Sat In A Field – Brilliant!

We’d heard great things about Sat In A Field Festival before playing and it certainly lived up to expectations. Some ‘inclement’ weather the previous day dampened the ground but not spirits and we received a wet, but very warm welcome indeed. Special thanks go to Oz and his crew for making us so welcome. We’re already looking forward to coming back for more next year!

Here are some pics for your perusal…

Snake News and Upcoming Live Dates

It’s been a quieter couple of weeks as us snakes have been on our holidays and spending a bit of time with the families. But the Snake-Wagon will be rolling out again this weekend for two very exciting looking shows.

First up, we’ll be supporting the fantastic Skimmity Hitchers at Camping Be Cider Seaside.

(See poster for details).

Beach, BBQ, Cider, Camping and Kickass Live Music. Frankly, if that doesn’t look like the best way to spend your weekend then there’s something wrong with you.

NB: Sadly, owing to other commitments, Our Ben (the good-looking, musically-talented one) can’t make it – so it’ll just be a special, stripped down ‘Snake Lite’. (In fact, We may be able to persuade Chris to actually strip down naked if he gets enough cider in him). Rest assured, we’ll be snakin’ extra hard to make up for it. And if you haven’t seen the Skimmity Boys before  you are in for a real treat. Get yerselves down there!

Then on Sunday the full 3 Snake line-up will be at the wonderful Satinafield festival near Cheddar.

This is one we’ve been looking forward to for a while. We’re Satinafield virgins but have heard great things about this festival and it has a stonking line-up (Land of Giants on Saturday! We’ll be there on Sunday afternoon, helping revelers transition from Saturday-night-hangover to No-work-on-Monday jollification.

Looking further ahead still, there’s the Upton Cheyney Chilli-Fest (with The Wurzels) and in October a string of dates across Somerset for OxJam – more on these to follow.

PS: Big apologies to the good folk of West Pennard who had been looking forward to us playing at The Red Lion earlier in the month. Due to an almighty balls up we had to postpone and we are currently negotiating a new date in September – watch this space!

That’s all for now
