The Railway Inn Sunday Sessions

We’re very pleased to be playing The Final Sunday Session of the year at The Railway Inn this coming weekend.

Join us, The Legendary snakeSNAKEsnake, with David 9 Lunas and Tolly Snell as we celebrate a fine year of Sunday sessions.

It’s Bank Holiday Sunday, so that’s means it’s your national duty by Royal proclamation to “lead in extending British holidays over a longer summer period” and spend an extra afternoon in a beer garden daytime-drinking in what is guaranteed to be sunny British weather.

As well as live music, good beer and good company there will also be an all you can eat BBQ for £8! Sounds perfect.

See you down the front!

Friday 4th August: The Crown Inn, Pilton.

This Friday (4th August) The Legendary snakeSNAKEsnake will be bringing our special brand of cowpunk tomfoolery back for a third time to The Crown Inn at Pilton. Each time has been a blast and we’re sure this will be too. Especially since we shall be there for the first time with our new man on the Double Bass, Gerry. If the weather’s good there’ll be a BBQ in their lovely beer garden. (And if not there’s plenty of good food and drink inside for all).

Senseless Things tribute album – now out!

We are very proud to feature a track on the new Senseless Things Tribute album “Punk, Not Fraggle”.

The album features 15 tracks by 15 bands all covering songs by 90s indie punk pop kids The Senseless Things and is a fundraiser for The Teenage Cancer Trust. We’ve heard it and it’s a corker – every track is a belter (working from great source material of course!)

Our contribution is this version of “Fishing at Tescos”.

The album is only £5 and available here – buy it!

This Saturday! Live Snakes and Frogs

We’re very pleased to be returning to the lovely Frogmary Farm in South Petherton this Saturday to play their summer BBQ.

It’s a lovely location with great food and plenty of fun and frolics to be had. As well as our live show we’ll also be playing some records in our vinyl DJ set, so plenty of music to keep you dancing the night away.

The weekend’s forecast to be a scorcher so come and enjoy the sun. More details here.

See you down the front!

This Saturday June 3rd: The Horse Pond Inn, Castle Cary

The Legendary snakeSNAKEsnake will be playing this Saturday June 3rd at The Horse Pond Inn, Castle Cary.

After spending the last few weeks quietly writing and recording in Gerry The Hat’s Mancave, we’re looking forward to getting back to doing what we like best: entertaining drunk westcountry folk.
We will also be spinning a few of our favourite records in a snakey vinyl dj set. Come soak up the sun/ cider and have a boogie. Should be a cracker!

See you down the front!

New gigs, new songs, new snake!

Greetings! As The Legendary snakeSNAKEsnake slide out of hibernation we have some exciting news to share.

New Snake – When 3 become 4!

Firstly, we’d like to welcome our new double bassist, Gerry to the fold. Gerry has stacks of experience and a beautiful instrument (ahem) and has made himself very much at home among us, adding some much needed low-frequency muscle to our sound. It’s sounding great in rehearsals and we can’t wait to bring our ‘awesome foursome’ to the live shows.

New Shows

Over the coming months we’ll be returning to many of our favourite venues and festivals as well as new destinations. Check out the listings on the side bar. And there are plenty more in the pipeline so keep checking back. First up is April 7th in Bristol at the lovely Kingsdown Winevaults.

New songs

In between getting Gerry up to speed on our existing material we’ve also been adding some new songs which we’re looking forward to sharing with you all and there are plenty more in progress…

New found superstardom!

Er, OK, not quite. But in recent months we’ve made our way to the top spot of the local folk charts on Reverbnation and No. 42 nationally!
We’re not really quite sure how this has happened, or if we really deserve it, but hey, we’re gonna run with it. And OK, granted, the Bath Folk charts maybe quite niche, but it’s a start. So come check out our reverbnation profile, listen to some songs, watch some videos. Who knows where it could end?
