A quick note to let y’all know what we’ve been up to of late and a few dates we have coming up.
As well as embedding our new Snake No.4 Gerry on double bass, over the last few weeks we snakes have been busy beavering away in Gerry’s mancave working on our next album.
As you can see from the pics, we are recording straight to analogue/reel to reel for a bit of vintage (luddite?) warmth and so far it is sounding delicious. We’re taking our time to get it right and we ‘re looking forward to sharing it with you soon.
In the meantime, you’ll be able to hear the new material, along with old favourites at one of our upcoming live shows in the next couple of months.
- Friday 13th: The Fountain, Bridgwater.
- Saturday 14th: Pilton Party (Auditions), Pilton.
- Saturday 12th: Street Inn, Street.
- Saturday 19th: “Africa Somerset” Event, Stoke St Gregory
- Saturday 26th: The Barton Inn, Barton St David
- Saturday 2nd: The Griffin, Frome
- Saturday 9th: The Fountain, Bridgwater
There’ll be plenty more to be added to the list including some festivals, so keep an eye out for further dates…. there are exciting plans in the pipeline…
It’s that time of year again!
Enjoy and share the love. Merry XmasSs from The Legendary snakeSNAKEsnake
PS, who likes mince pies?
Amazing. Yesterday’s “From The Heart” music all-dayer at Hawthorns raised £1300 for Freddy’s Fight for Life – an incredible achievement!

See you down the front
We’re very pleased to be playing The Final Sunday Session of the year at The Railway Inn this coming weekend.
Join us, The Legendary snakeSNAKEsnake, with David 9 Lunas and Tolly Snell as we celebrate a fine year of Sunday sessions.
It’s Bank Holiday Sunday, so that’s means it’s your national duty by Royal proclamation to “lead in extending British holidays over a longer summer period” and spend an extra afternoon in a beer garden daytime-drinking in what is guaranteed to be sunny British weather.
As well as live music, good beer and good company there will also be an all you can eat BBQ for £8! Sounds perfect.
See you down the front!
This Friday (4th August) The Legendary snakeSNAKEsnake will be bringing our special brand of cowpunk tomfoolery back for a third time to The Crown Inn at Pilton. Each time has been a blast and we’re sure this will be too. Especially since we shall be there for the first time with our new man on the Double Bass, Gerry. If the weather’s good there’ll be a BBQ in their lovely beer garden. (And if not there’s plenty of good food and drink inside for all).
Bring your drinkin’ money and your dancin’ shoes.
See you down the front!
PS – thanks to all at the Lowland Games last weekend. As ever – great fun. We’ve got a few pics and video somewhere which we’ll share once we’re all cleaned up/dried out. Let’s do it again next year, shall we? ;0)
This Sunday The Legendary snakeSNAKEsnake will be returning for more ‘muddy gert fun‘ at The Lowland Games in Thorney, near Langport.
This Saturday afternoon The Legendary snakeSNAKEsnake will be taking our full “Awesome Foursome” line up to Wellington for Welliestock
Lots of great bands – and Sheppy’s Cider is there too – what’s not to like!
Get there early. Bring you drinking dollars ad your dancing shoes!
It’s now Sold Out – so if you didn’t get tickets, you’ll have to wait to next year.
But if you did -see you down the front!
We are very proud to feature a track on the new Senseless Things Tribute album “Punk, Not Fraggle”.
The album features 15 tracks by 15 bands all covering songs by 90s indie punk pop kids The Senseless Things and is a fundraiser for The Teenage Cancer Trust. We’ve heard it and it’s a corker – every track is a belter (working from great source material of course!)
Our contribution is this version of “Fishing at Tescos”.
The album is only £5 and available here – buy it!
