After a couple of quiet weeks holidaying with families (and paternity leave – big shout out and Snakey-love to welcome the lovely young Master Roberts!) the Snakey train will be making a couple of late summer trips to Frome and Chard.
Earlier in the year, Frome was named the best place to live in the UK (much to the annoyance of some Bristolians). On Wednesday 22nd August, Frome will also be the best place to come and shake your eggs to the Snakey sound.
We will be playing at the Roots Sessions at The Grain Cafe Bar in Frome. The venue has played host to many of our favourite local acts as well as bigger names passing through. It boasts a reputation for a great atmosphere and entry is free! What else are you doing on a Wednesday. Come on down for some “hump-day” fun!
The following Saturday, we’ll be playing the inaugural Chardrock festival. Chard is the birthplace of the wooden leg and powered flight, among other things, and on Saturday 25th August it will be the birthplace of a new music festival.
We will be playing alongside a host of other exciting acts on a bill headlined by LIVE/WIRE, the AC/DC tribute band complete with a wall of marhsal amps and cannons(!) Promises to be a rocking good night. For Those About To (Chard) Rock, we salute you!
See you down the front!
