Sadly, other commitments have meant we aren’t at Glastonbury this year. But many of our friends our. So if you’re there/going, check out these guys: Lazibyrd, Mr Keep Calm & The Cancelled Cheques and The Mighty Peas. Not sure when and where, but they come with a snakey guarantee.
Plus, you MUST go see Rev Peyton’s Big Damn Band on West Holts stage. Saw him play in Bristol and they were amazeballs!
Not forgettin’ to get yer fill of Hot ‘n’ Spicy from the Cider Bus!
As for us – our next outing will be the Somerset Steam and Country Show near Langport, July 18/19/20. We’ve also some new dates to add in the autumn soon. Watch this space…
Thanks everyone who came to see us at Green Scythe Fair. We’ve not been there before but certainly want to go back – what a lovely little do! We had great fun playing in the sun, checking out the stalls, sampling the cider and we were thrilled to have some extra (rather young) ‘percussionists’ on stage with us. Hope to see you all again there next year.
Next stop for your favourite snakey troubadours is The Green Scythe Fair in Muchelney, Sunday 15th June.
We’ve not been here before but it look like a lot of fun: There’s loads of music (on a solar/wind powered stage), craft stalls, lovely food and drink and a kiddies area. We’re looking forward to playing with our old friend Bad Dog No Biscuit again, and seeing the brilliant Olde Boston Tea Party, among other great acts.
It also incorporates the West Country Scythe Championship –
“known far and wide for the stupendous and often hilarious feats of haymaking by international scythesmen and women, who mow a swathe through the summer festival scene. It is probably the most authentic, and enjoyable, country fair in all England!”
All for only a fiver!
Should be a good ‘un. Get yerself there.
